Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about Aktvator, gigs, verification, payments, and how the platform works for companies and Aktvators.

General

What is Aktvator?

Aktvator is a performance-based marketplace where businesses create gigs and campaigns, and people complete verified tasks to earn. Companies only pay for work that has been completed and verified.

Where is Aktvator available?

Aktvator is currently live in Nigeria. We are building toward additional markets. Follow us or check back for expansion announcements.

Is Aktvator only for online work?

No. Aktvator supports both online and offline gigs. Field marketing, event activation, door-to-door referrals, in-store product demos, and physical customer onboarding tasks are all supported.

Can small businesses use Aktvator?

Yes. You can start with a small campaign budget. Aktvator is designed for businesses at every scale — from pilot campaigns to large-scale field activations.

For Companies

How do I start as a company on Aktvator?

Create a seller account, verify your organization, fund your campaign wallet, and publish your first gig. You can be live in under an hour.

What kind of gigs can I post?

You can post sales gigs, referral gigs, product activation tasks, customer onboarding gigs, lead generation tasks, promotion campaigns, field marketing gigs, and event activation tasks — among others.

When do I pay for a gig?

You only pay when a gig is completed and verified. There is no upfront cost per task. You fund a campaign wallet, and payouts happen automatically after you approve a submission.

Can I review proof before approving payment?

Yes. Every submission is visible in your dashboard with the submitted proof (photo, video, or data). You approve valid submissions or raise a dispute. Payment moves only after your approval.

Can I track campaign performance?

Yes. The platform gives you full visibility into task status — submitted, under review, verified, rejected — as well as campaign-level metrics and top-performing Aktvators.

What happens to unused campaign funds?

Unused wallet funds remain in your campaign wallet. You can use them for future campaigns or request a withdrawal subject to platform terms.

Can I set eligibility criteria for Aktvators?

Yes. Gigs can be filtered by location (state, city), tier level, and other criteria to ensure the right Aktvators apply.

For Aktvators

How do I become an Aktvator?

Create an Aktvator account, verify your identity with a government ID (NIN or equivalent), and set up your profile. Once verified, you can browse and apply for available gigs.

What types of gigs can I find?

You can find sales gigs, referral gigs, promotion tasks, lead generation gigs, customer onboarding tasks, product activation gigs, event activation work, and field marketing tasks.

Do I need any special skills or equipment?

Most gigs require only a smartphone with camera access and the ability to complete basic tasks in the field or online. Some gigs may have additional requirements — always read the gig details.

Can I work on multiple gigs at the same time?

Yes. There's no limit on the number of gigs you can apply for simultaneously.

What happens if my submission is rejected?

You'll be notified with the reason for rejection. Some gigs allow resubmission; others do not. Review the gig requirements carefully before submitting.

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform and verify your identity. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Payments & Wallets

How do Aktvators get paid?

Aktvators receive earnings in their in-app wallet after a submission is approved. They can then withdraw to a linked bank account subject to the platform's withdrawal rules.

How long do withdrawals take?

Withdrawal processing times vary based on your bank. Most transfers complete within 24 hours of initiating a withdrawal.

Is there a minimum withdrawal amount?

Yes. A minimum withdrawal threshold applies. Check the platform's current withdrawal rules inside your Aktvator account.

How does the company campaign wallet work?

Companies deposit funds into a campaign wallet. The platform holds the funds and debits them only when gig completions are approved. Unused funds remain in the wallet.

Are there platform fees?

Platform fees apply to certain operations. Full fee details are available in your account settings and are disclosed before any transaction.

Verification & Tasks

How does task verification work?

Aktvators submit proof of completion (photos, videos, forms, or other evidence). The company reviews the submission and either approves it — triggering a payout — or raises a dispute.

How long does verification take?

Verification time depends on the company reviewing the submission. Most reviews complete within 24–72 hours.

What counts as valid proof?

Each gig defines its proof requirements. It may include photos at a location, video of a completed interaction, a form submission, or receipt data. Always read the gig requirements before starting work.

What happens in a dispute?

If a company disputes a submission, you are notified and given the reason. Aktvator may review disputes and make a final determination when escalated.

Can I resubmit a rejected gig?

Some gigs allow resubmission; others do not. This depends on how the company has configured the gig. Check the gig status in your dashboard for resubmission options.
